8.0/10

I had a lovely stay at the hotel with clean and comfy rooms, super friendly staff, and a fantastic location near the River Thames. The dining experience was slightly disappointing with limited options, but overall, it was a great value for money.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms are spacious and provide extra comfort, overlooking an outdoor seating area on the second floor accessed by a steep flight of stairs.
Service
9.0
The service was excellent overall, with particularly helpful and pleasant staff, except for one waiter at breakfast who seemed inconvenienced. Shirley was incredibly helpful during my stay.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is picturesque, right by the River Thames, offering good access to nearby sightseeing locations and an easy commute to London and Surrey.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience, though with some outstanding options like laksa at the sister hotel across the road, had a minor hiccup with the advertised price differing from the actual charge and limited items during breakfast service.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent, with easy access to additional dining options at the sister hotel, The Anchor, just across the road.

6.8/10

The hotel had a few issues with the rooms, but the staff were helpful and friendly. The location was excellent for exploring Shepperton and Twickenham. The dining experience had its ups and downs, and overall facilities were satisfactory.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were a little tired, with some cleanliness issues like table sparkles on the floor and not properly vacuumed. Maintenance issues included a broken baggage rack and a hole in the bathroom door lock/handle. However, the staff quickly addressed our concerns, providing milk for tea/coffee upon request.
Service
8.0
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, efficiently attending to any problems we encountered. They were also knowledgeable about the surrounding area, enhancing our stay.
Location
7.0
The location was excellent for those wanting to stay in Shepperton or explore Twickenham. However, being next to ventilation fans was a drawback, and finding parking without inconveniencing others was challenging.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had its highs and lows. While the home-made pizza from the bar was delicious, other food options were limited. The staff were hospitable, but the overall variety was lacking.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's facilities were adequate, but the rooms on the upper floors could get quite warm, feeling like a sauna. Upgrading to a higher-tier room might be worth considering for a more comfortable stay.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The room was spacious with a fantastic view, but the shower was extremely poor. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the visit enjoyable overall. The location was great for my needs, but small details like a metal trim bar were slightly inconvenient.

Rooms
7.0
My room was very spacious and had patio doors opening out onto the river, offering a fantastic view. However, the shower was extremely poor, taking ages to warm up and barely providing enough water pressure.
Service
8.0
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests, making my visit pleasant.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was perfect for my needs, and the idyllic setting by the river in a quiet lane added to its charm, despite minor discomforts like the metal trim bar inside.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was really good, with high-quality dishes served promptly. But unfortunately, breakfast was not included during my stay.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered good facilities, enhancing the overall stay experience.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms needed refreshing, and the shower had very low pressure, but the warmth and the view overlooking the river and marina were delightful. The location was perfect for my needs, quiet and close to attractions. Dining varied from poor to fantastic. The facilities were satisfactory.

Rooms

The room next to ours needed refreshing, and the shower pressure was low. Despite that, the room was warm and had a lovely view of the river and marina.
Service
8.0
Room service, housekeeping, and the welcome drink were all delightful.
Location
9.0
The location was ideal for my visit, quiet and convenient to various attractions. The area around the terrace and the charming village square added to the pleasant atmosphere.

The dining experience ranged from poor to delicious. The evening meal was good value and excellent, while the French pastry was fantastic. Being in the heart of Old Shepperton was a highlight.

7.2/10

I had a mixed experience at Warren Lodge. The location is splendid, right by the riverside with charming local pubs nearby. The rooms, while decent with comfy beds, are in need of a makeover, especially the bathroom. The service was a mix of efficient attentiveness and some incompetence. The dining was first-class but a bit chaotic at times. The facilities were adequate, but improvements could be made, especially in maintenance.

Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in was at the back of the main building in a two-storey motel-type building. It was decent and the bed was comfy, but I could tell it's usually for contractors or guests who book through online agencies.
Service
6.0
The staff went out of their way to meet my request for dinner in my room, showing attentiveness and friendliness. However, there were instances of seeming incompetence in their roles, which was a bit off-putting.
Location
8.0
The location was amazing, right by the riverside with lovely local pubs close by. Additionally, it's next to the Thames, offering a quaint setting rich in history. However, there were some maintenance issues that need attention to match the charm of the area.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was first-class with plenty of options and friendly staff. However, it could get chaotic, especially when dining at a separate table in the bar. The breakfast could use more variety.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were adequate, but improvements in maintenance and overall upkeep would enhance the experience.
